Data migrations
Once a system reaches the end of its life cycle it is typically migrated to a newer and more powerful one. The archived data needs to be migrated to the new infrastructure with minimal downtime for the applications and users accessing the archived information.
With existing specialized software existing data is copied and new updates replicated to the new infrastructure. The integrity of data is guaranteed by EMC Centera mechanisms and the application can be switched to the new infrastructure after the migration.
