DelayedDeletes for EMC Centera allows customers to restore or recover archived data without prior backup!
DelayedDeletes for EMC Centera replicates delete requests issued by archive applications to the primary system after a configurable delay to the secondary system. This approach ensures that a copy of deleted data remains on the target system for as long as there is a potential need for either read-failover or recovery for objects, that would be lost without DelayedDeletes or a complete backup of the whole archive infrastructure using traditional backup and recovery solutions.
DelayedDeletes is available as “standard” or “plus” Edition. The features of both versions can be compared using the table below:
